Windows firewall and 3cx Firewall Checker

Hi?

I just installed a 3cx server on a windows environment and i am almost done with the settings but i am having an issue which is that the 3cx firewall checker is not recognizing the inbound and outbound rules i have created on my windows firewall. I have opened all the necessary ports on Windows firewall but 3cx is still not recognizing the ports on the firewall checker. What is the solution?

To be sure if it's Windows firewall or your router firewall I would temporarily disable your Windows firewall and trying again. If it fails, open the ports on your router.

Just want to add that the 3CX installation for Windows actually automatically creates the Windows Firewall rules so those should not be an issue. That said, what @kieferschild said should confirm it if you want to be sure.

Whatever the case, the firewall checker performs the test by simply sending traffic and then determining the result based on what was received. If something is failing, then something did not arrive correctly due to network configuration. I'd recommend taking a look at this documentation explaining how the firewall checker works. Understanding more how it works may help you determine what the problem is.
