Would it be possible to play an audio file every x seconds within a queue?

We have customers that would like to play a file along the lines of, " all our agents are busy" every x seconds while customers are waiting in a queue. Is there any way to do this instead of the queue position announcement.



I had thought of just making a queue soundtrack that was as long as I would allow customers to stay in the queue and splicing in the announcement every 10 seconds.

You could create a custom system prompt set and change the prompts 'YOUR_AT_POSITION' and 'QUEUE_TOBE_CONNECTED'. We did this on our system, but still wanted it to announce the specific position.

But then it still announces the position which you can't really remove without breaking other systems.

In the end I modified the MOH and added the required prompt every 10 seconds. Audacity was easy to use for this

I think @VoIPTools has something for this.

There are no APIs for manipulating queue prompts. MAYBE we could barge into each call holding in the queue and play a custom prompt. We can do that with active calls, but I don't know if that is possible for calls waiting in a queue.
