Solved Wrong IP in config file

Hi,

So I have a bit of a strange issue. I originally setup 3CX on a physical debian server to test it out. At the time the private IP was 192.168.168.64
Everything worked just fine and all 3CX soft clients were able to provision correctly using the config file send out in the welcome emails.

I decided to virtualise it before going live, and made the mistake of configuring a temporary IP for it to run on (in DHCP) before switching out the IPs at the end of the day on the linux network adapter settings. This temporarily gave it an IP of 192.168.169.100

Now that I have shutdown the physical server and have changed the virtual server's IP back to the static 192.168.168.64, I find everything works fine apart from the provisioning files which all have the 192.168.168.100 address throughout.

Does anyone know how I can change this to the correct IP?

Can you change it under settings - network. If you can reboot the server afterwards

if not need to backup the config and reinstall 3cx using the backup. when Installing give the server a fixed ip address - under 2.4 https://www.3cx.com/docs/manual/installing-debian-linux-pbx/

Hello @CAOxford

You should see a warning on the Dashboard about the IP mismatch. If you click on that i will take you to the network settings so you can apply the new IP. Restart all services after that.

Sorry for asking a really really basic question but how do you "restart services". Is this in the admin controls somewhere or do you do it indirectly by restarting the whole box?

So, settings / network shows the correct IP 192.168.168.64

There is no warning of an IP mismatch. In the linux networking file there are no additional adapters present either.

I have both rebooted the server and restarted the services to no avail. Whenever I generate a new config it still references 192.169.169.100.

Services can be restarted through the management console. There is a "Services" tab on the Dashboard.
Then just select all services and hit restart.

I am running the latest version and ended up reinstalling the system last night.

For anyone else with this issue my fix was to deploy the debian image. SSH to it before working through the 3cx setup wizard and give it a static IP on the correct IP. Then go through the setup and choose to restore to config. Finally the setup wizard asks for the IPs, again I set the static IP and now everything is back to generating properly. I did have to regenerate a lot of user profiles from the portal but they now have the correct IP details.
