Our company has a bunch of X4 phones running Firmware version 2.14.0.7387 - I ordered a couple of new phones and was sent X4U's. These are running Firmware 2.4.2 and as our server hasn't been updated to V18 as yet, the new phones are showing in red in the console and 'Unsupported'. Is there an earlier version I can install on these phones that is compatible? Or is it better to return them and get a couple of X4's sent instead?

Thanks in advance :)

Have you tried to update the firmware in the 3cx management console ?

If you are not experiencing any issues with the firmware, I would not worry about it

Thanks for your reply, but I'm not sure what you mean by 'updating the firmware'? Do you mean updating the server? That's not an option at the moment really -
The new phones are running a firmware version that is listed as 'Unsupported' in our console and therefore aren't working properly.( Our other phones are X4's X3U's and a couple of X7A's ) I was just wondering if there was a compatible version I could try for the X4U's before I just send them back..

Hi,

No need to return the phones. They appear in red because the system has a newer firmware downloaded, and the phones are not currently using it.

Select any phone that is red, then click the firmware button on top.

The system will upgrade the firmware for you to the correct version.

Under Phones - select the phone and click on Firmware along the top

Thanks John! Worked perfectly! Hopefully I can now adjust the necessary settings for the user! Thanks again.. :)
