Hi. I registered a new x4uV2 on 3cx hosted by 3cx: i regisred it to act as a SBC router in the LAN. After registration a pop-up appear with instructions to complete phone registration (1 reboot phone - 2 insert phone extension - 3 insert code (2 weeks before expiration).*

I disconnect the phone from power supply and then i reconnected it: after phone reboot no message appear on phone display to complete the procedure described.

For two weeks the X4uV2 worked perfectly and i registered an old Grandstream GXP1620 via X4uV2 that act as SBC for the LAN.
After 2 weeks the X4uV2 was disconnected from 3cx system i had to registered it again as described.

Is there another way to complete the registration inserting the parameter asked to complete the registration?

Thank you in advance for your support.
Regards, M.

*Yesterday, in another 3cx installation, i used a Raspberry PI that as SBC in a LAN to register a Grandstream GXP2135 that after reboot ask for registration like described in the procedure.

Hi,

What firmware version is the X4U-V2 running right now? Please tell us the exact version you see in the phone menu.

Thank you to help me. Firmware version is 2.12.15.6.

and what version is your 3CX? (you can see it in the management console dashboard)

3cx hosted by 3cx - 18.0 Update 6 (Build 908)

Ok, so I'm not 100% sure that the phone was correctly provisioned in this specific case. Let's try to do it fresh from the beginning, but following these steps instead:

1. Login to Webclient then go to the Admin panel (not the classic management console)

2. Edit your extension, and delete the phone from there. There should be no phones left on this extension.

3. Add the model model again (Router Phone > X4U-V2) and make sure you enter the MAC correctly

4. Once you see new credentials on the screen, you must factory reset the phone (hold the OK button until you see the factory reset option, then confirm).

5. When the phone reboots, it might stay idle for 1-2 min at most, and it will then ask you for those credentials. Make sure that when you enter them, you pick the "123" mode on the keypad, not the "Abc" mode.

Once the credentials are entered it will provision and then reboot automatically. The phone should now be successfully provisioned and should not disconnect from 3CX no matter how much time passes.

You may now also edit your other phones on that same network and select this device as their SBC (if needed). The phones will need to be rebooted so they can pull the new provisioning from 3CX telling them which SBC to use. If you don't have other normal phones at that same location then this bit is not needed.

Ok,i'll try to do it again.Thank you, i'll let you know.
M.
