Hello,

We are running Pro Ver 18 Update 5, Build 418. with an SBC.

X&C (not a ver 2) running 3CX firmware 2.4.12.

This is the one and only Fanvil phone in use. The others are Yealink and all work fine.

This X7C was working and could receive calls and could call internal extension but not make external calls. It was set up as a Hot Desk.

Hot Desking wasn't needed so that has been removed. Phone has been factory reset and the phone removed from the User it was assigned to.

Phone appears in the 3CX Phone list and we assign it to the same extension is had before. We leave all the settings as is comfirming its set to SBC etc.

Phone then prompts for a Username and Password.

We have tried the extension number and voicemail PIN (even changed the VM PIN). We have tried the phone authentication username and password. We've tried the "web interface password" for this phone too.

None of them work.

Phone either prompts again for the username and password or just closes that screen.

It will not provision.

Any assistance appreciated.

Regards,
David.

Hi David,

Double-check you have added the correct MAC address. Copy paste it, do not type it in.

There's probably a typo somewhere, the phone reaches the PBX, you enter the correct extension and PIN (presumably) and the phone then asks for a config file with a MAC address not equal to the one stored on the extension.

Thanks for the reply.

So the MAC address did look correct in all places, but I copied it from the phone web UI and pasted it into the field on the provisioning page and removed the : and now it works.

Weird, but solved.

Hi David,

Glad to hear! It should be ok now going forward.

And for future reference or other reading this:
We recommend using the copy button in the Phones page, it should make things a bit easier.
