I have successfully in the past registered secondary extensions to a phone, but I have encountered multiple issues of the secondary registration failing to register without logs in the 3cx activity log.
Ex: registered via Yealink t57w GUI secondary account added. Randomly the secondary account will fail to register with no log in the 3cx console of the failure. Possible issue with port registration routing?
The desired setup:
Multiple phones on a network with a SBC
- Each phone to have primary 3cx registration normal setup sharing 1 user account
- Each phone to have a secondary registration manually entered in the phone GUI itself. Desired for intercom and secondary caller ID outbound for DID function.
This is required due to avoiding a ring group while having multiple extensions having access to a single voicemail, while answering concurrent calls.
