Yealink T42S Ring Tone

Good Morning,

I've got a phone set up in STUN running FW 66.86.05 and i've provisioned it like this for ring tones:



the GUI shows this:



The routing in 3CX is to send external number to the extension.

When I call the number, the phone gives me some fancy melody and not ring tone 1, 2 or 7.

From the GUI, if i select #2 and change the external from ring 2 to ring 1 I get the desired ring tone. If I then change it back to ring 2 I get the ring 2 tone and the mysterious melody ring tone disappears.

Update your PBX to latest V16 if not already, ensure the phone is not using a custom template* , and check if you have any templated updates.

Ringtone inconsistency was addressed via a template update a while ago, but you will have not received it in case this particular PBX was using custom templates.

Ok, what I thought was updated, it was not. Looks like it has just pulled some more yealink templates for me to download so I imagine this will address the problem.

Yes, it should do, just send a reprovision command to all the phones and give them a try
