We have a Yealink T53 configured as a router phone which was working fine until a firmware update took place today. The SBC trunk from the phone connect successfully:

But the extension will not register and disaplays 'Register status Diabled':

I have reset the phone and recreated the extension.

I am at a loss as to why this is happening. There are no errors or warning in the logs that I can find.

Thank you for any assistance.

I have tested a T48U as a router phone on a different 3CX and got the same issue. Is there a wider issue?

For the T53, I have not heard of one breaking yet, however, there have been a few posts in the last month or two where people say they had to use firmware 96.86.0.74 instead of 96.86.0.76, in order to configure it as a router phone. I have not had any issues with 96.86.0.76 myself. On the 3CX firmware page, you can copy the URL and edit the number to .74, if you want to try it.

Hi Steve,
A downgrade of the T53 has worked. Oddly I installed another new T53 just yesterday and it is fine!
Thank you

I wonder if there is some sort of hardware difference/refresh since it seems phone specific.

Perhaps!

The 48U works fine through a Windows SBC.
