Hello,

I am having a new issue with a new Yealink T54W setup as a router phone. The phone is running 96.87.0.16 which I understand to be the latest supported version. The 3CX server is hosted by 3CX and running Version 20.0 Update 7. Here is the issue.

The router phone SBC is online, but the assigned user extension is not registered. The phone would not auto provision or update, so I manually upgraded it all the way to 96.87.0.16. I then factory defaulted it and it would not provision. I manually put in the provisioning URL and the SBC came up, but the user extension does not. I can see in the 3CX event log that the config file was successfully generated

If you had tried to connect it as a router phone with older firmware the IP may be blocked by the server, so check for that and delete the block.

You should not need to manually provision a supported phone.

If you are using it on wireless, set it up on a wired connection, then attempt to connect via wireless. 3CX doesn't support wireless.

It is not in the blacklist. It is not on wireless.

Hi @john.barnhill ,

Remove the phone from the extension.
Than add the phone back, and factory the device.
All should just work from here.

If it does not work, reboot the router!

Had the same issue - boy was it a journey to get it fixed. New Yealink T54W using the older .86 firmware.

Downloaded the new firmware via 3cx site - went to upload via the Web GUI and would get 'ROM Failed'

After some google FU - found out this was an issue with V86 to V87 update - need to update an interim version from Yealink here:
https://support.yealink.com/en/portal/knowledge/show?id=67ea8ab413440e4c2e145270

After you upgrade to the interim version - I could then get it upgraded to 3CX's V87

Deleted the phone from 3cx, factory reset the phone, added the phone again as a router phone, rebooted the phone and all was well.

So my problem ended up being the phone not being authenticated with Yealink RPS. We have an RPS account, so I simply added the phone to RPS, pointed it to my 3CX provisioning URL, then entering the six digit RPS PIN in the phone, which rebooted and pulled its config.
