Hi, a couple of weeks ago one of our sites went down, which after some investigation I put down to the router phone failing (other phones are dect/wifi and not capable of router phone so I couldn't test). I left them with softphones running and ordered two new router phones, T57 and a T54 to have as a backup.

In the meantime I also setup an SBC on one of their reception PCs temporarily which got their other phones working.

New phones have arrived and will pickup their provisioning no problem but they will not register when configured as router phones. If I configure as standard phones via the SBC on the PC no problem, they provision and register but as a router they only provision and won't register.

Anyone any ideas? What am I missing?

You might need to upgrade the firmware on these phones as sometimes older firmware from the factory does not contain the SBC in them.

Upgrade these phones to the firmware version listed at https://www.3cx.com/docs/phone-firmwares/ before provisioning them as router phones.

Hi Nicholas, thanks for the reply, whilst I had updated the firmware before provisioning I'd used the latest version from the yealink web site. Your post reminded me about the 3CX latest versions page, which were indeed different.

Thanks a lot - working now!
