Yelling Custom Template Master

Hi All,

I want to host two extensions on a Yealink series T4x phones using a Custom Template.

What we need is a template that has two accounts in the template, as opposed to the standard 3CX template that only has "account 1".

Unfortunately our VoIP and codec skills do not extend to creating this template.

check the Yealink T4x template in 3cx.
Make a copy of it.
Goto line 2609 thru 2939 and copy it.
Replace the .1. with .2.
You will have to manually enter the values for these:
#Configure the label displayed on the LCD screen for account1.
account.1.label = %%extension_number%% | %%extension_first_name%% %%extension_last_name%%

#Enable or disable to use the alert info URL; 0-Enabled (default), 1-Disabled;
account.1.alert_info_url_enable =

#Configure the display name of account1.
account.1.display_name = %%extension_first_name%% %%extension_last_name%%

#Configure the username and password for register authentication.
account.1.auth_name = %%extension_auth_id%%
account.1.password = %%extension_auth_pw%%

#Configure the register user name.
account.1.user_name = %%extension_number%%


Then assign account 2 to a BLF.
linekey.x.line / value / pickup / etc... to show Account 2.

What is the interest to edit and use custom template if settings for second account need to be manually added, you can set 2nd account directly on phone GUI, no ?

already done this on Snom deskphones, it works like a charm, automatic provision ignore totally 2nd account

If I need custom settings I almost always do a template... This way if I replace the phone, or have to factory reset, I have an easy way to put it back how it was without writing down all the modifications.
Sometimes this is some work when a new template comes out... It is one area of 3cx that needs improvement in my opinion.
And, allow users to have a second extension. Maybe in the BLF setup, instead of a line key, and account/line key that adds the account to the phone and a line key for that account.
