just yesterday I figured out you can use the cisco spa phones with a sbc unlike the webpage on how to set them up with a local machine suggests.
Ensure on the ip phones web page you click admin login and advanced
Go to the extension you want to configure in the phones web config page and type the proxy and outbound proxy as the ip of your sbc and the display name as anything then type the user ID as the extension number configured in the 3cx management console then put use auth id as yes and type in the id and password from the authentication tab you see when you add your phone model and mac address then hit submit all changes and it should provision
make sure in 3cx you don't copy the dots from the password you have to click the eye to see the password and copy and paste that
thats what was tripping me up
