Hi @Telefoney,

I saw your post but can't respond to it directly so I've started this thread.

How are you connecting to the 3CX VM to get the SNMP data? Are you querying the VM hypervisor for information about the running VM? Or, are you querying the 3CX VM directly? I have used Zabbix SNMP monitoring for a range of systems (virtual and physical) but found that, sometimes, I needed to write or customize the templates to get the exact data I wanted.

Hi @Marconi ,

Thanks for your reply on this.
I'm querying the 3CX VM directly.

Previously had this working fine with Nagios and their default Linux template - however business requirements have meant switching to Zabbix, and their 'Linux by SNMP' template certainly does seem to be giving me issues.

If you've got access to a Linux machine (other than the 3CX box), I'd suggest using snmpwalk to do a bulk download of the available data and then create your own custom template.

The program should be available in your Linux distro's repositories but the main links are here:
If you're stuck using MS Windows then you could install Cygwin and then use snmpwalk from there (or do a quick search for a Windows version of snmpwalk).

Would you do this on a vanilla install of Debian 12? Thanks for your help - i'll give this a go!

I can (and have) done this on a Debian 12 installation (it had the UniFi software installed so doesn't count as vanilla) once I'd installed and configured the snmpd package.

You can find instructions here if you need them. Also, if you need a list of the OID meanings you can check both of these sites:
I found the first one to be the more informative of the two.
