Downgrade from 256sc to 192sc

Hello all,

hope you are all having a good day,
i have a Subscription that will expire on the end of the month and we need to Downgrade from 256sc to 192sc.
i asked my partner and said "that the downgrade is not available. If the customer needs a different license, you will have to purchase it as a new one, and it will be with a new installation"
well, we don't want to do a new installation and I'm posting this here to see if that is really the case if we want to downgrade.

Also if i will go in this new installation route, will i have to reconfigure everything or just take a backup and restore it with the new installation ?

Downgrading a 3CX license (e.g. from 256SC to 192SC) is not possible directly - you can contact customer care to find about your key.

Since when is this not possible to do it directly? I think we did it over customer support. But its long ago...

SC downgrades are indeed not completely impossible, but generally some criteria need to be matched - the portal will not let you do it. Still the best path is to contact Customer Care at https://www.3cx.com/contact/ who can advice much better per-case.
