The CFD service will not only be back in v16 its going to be infinitely more powerful. We have made a massive step forward - but its not ready yet.

It should also be noted that we brought the v16 pricing forward because for most people its cheaper to buy v16 keys so we did not want to charge people more until the last day. You can use these keys on v15.5 installs as well.

So its just cheaper that all.

@Nick Galea

I've just analyzed the pricing model and it seems that the per-SC cost goes up the more SC's you have.

Example (prices are in $USD):
8SC Pro Annual is $325 = $40.63 per SC
16SC Pro Annual is $652 = $40.75 per SC
24SC Pro Annual is $982 = $40.92 per SC
32SC Pro Annual is $1477 = $46.16 per SC
48SC Pro Annual is $2228 = $46.42 per SC
64SC Pro Annual is $2962 = $46.28 per SC
96SC Pro Annual is $4447 = $46.32 per SC
128SC Pro Annual is $5767 = $45.05 per SC

I stopped at 128SC so I cannot comment on higher SC counts as I've not looked at them yet.

This seems counter intuitive. There's a big jump between 24 and 32 SC - then the price rises to 48SC, drops for 64SC, rises (barely) for 96SC, and then drops (a little) again for 128SC.

If this is intended, do you have some sort of pricing defense to offer so that I can, in turn, offer something intelligent to my customers instead of a shoulder shrug?

Thank you for your answer, so I understand it will be possible, after April 1, use the V16 key for a new installation based on 3CX V15.5?

I'm not mistaken? If that's the case, I'm sorry for the misunderstanding. I thought that your activation servers would block the activation of V16 licenses on the V15.5 installation after April 1st. I should have been more specific in my publication. Once again, sorry.

@bravad, No its just for a short period of time you can install v15.5 with the new v16 keys. There is a cut off point in the coming weeks....

Ok M. Galea , Now it's very clear. Thanks. So that's what Bianca told me earlier.
We will have a period during which we will not be able to deliver our new customers with Call Flow Designer projects, but this should be for a short time considering that your team mentions that the update will follow quickly.

Please, I would just like to know if the activation of v15.5 (new key) will cease from April 1 or will cease later in April (and What date ?). This is an important detail for us considering that we are committed to delivering multiple customers requiring Call Flow Designer. We understand that it is for a short time. We also understand that you can not commit to an ETA release upade.

Please, just the date when the newly purchased keys will not activate V15.5

Thanks.

Excuse me, can somebody advise, I am probably going over old ground again here but, I need to be clear 100% certain before doing any further upgrades to V16.
Last year we decided to put all locations on 3CX for us that is nine locations, and this would link all offices via bridges. On Friday I upgraded two of the smaller offices to V16 then found I had lost the Bridges. I can work around that for the time being, however these were both V15.5 Linux First year and now shows V16 std licence, Will this be upgrade to PRO for the remainder of the trial period, or will it only be upgraded to PRO after we pay the annual fee. We migrated some permanent licences to annual licences also will these become PRO also? These are bigger offices so I would not upgrade till sure of the position here.

Will we get free PRO during the remainder of first year trial, or only after upgrade.
Will we get PRO licence for our migrated Perpetual licences (4 locations) (Now on annual renewal)

so our pbx is expiring next week and it is 4sc. since the SC is not just trunk limits we're reevaluating - in interim how do we get the upgrade to 8? what do we need to do? thanks

If you have a free license, it will renew automatically and you just have to upgrade to v16 to get the 8SC.

If you have a paid license, you'll have to pay the license fee for your needs.

So we are running 3CX ver 16.0.1581 and have a Standard Annual 16SC license, purchased with V15.5. Instead of receiving 40 days of Free Pro (we're 72 days from renewal), we discovered that our existing call queues had stopped working this morning. (Heck of a way to learn about your plan changes btw!)

Do I have to open a $75 support ticket in order to activate the 40 days of free Pro? And if/when we upgrade our license to Pro for $325, does it (a) add 365 days to my existing license, (b) start 365 days from when I upgrade, or (c) upgrade the existing term of my contract, which is 72 days?

Not feeling enthusiastic about the changes right now...

I believe the 40 day free pro is for license keys issued after the announcement. I setup a PBXEXPRESS account earlier today and it shows Professional license. Seems like yours is a month old.

Actually, your license should be upgraded automatically to Pro. Try @Bianca, she'll tell you where to get this done. It's free for a year or so, to give you time to plan the license upgrade.

The 40-days Pro trial is for the Free License they give on their website. It is only available for new licenses.

You are correct.

All standard licenses that have been paid (i.e. not free edition ones) are being upgraded to pro free of charge automatically. you can contact customer service via our website without paying any support if there is an issue with this process.

It would be nice for resellers to have an option to trigger the upgrade manually since some customers don't manage their own PBX.

I have 15.5 in a live environment and I want to test something I have created in call flow designer before I put it into live (especially as VoiceApps require a restart to 3CX Queue Service). I tried to install 15.5 and apply a 40 day PRO license trial but this will not activate on 15.5 ("Product cannot be activated because license key is for a previous version.").

Given that we are not ready to move our live environment to 16, is there still a way to activate on 15.5 so I can do my testing?

Thanks!

Since the launch of V16, all trial license keys can only be activated on V16 installations. V16 Update 1 though is just around the corner, in which we intend to include CFD in its renewed state! Hang in there for a few weeks and you will be able to try out the CFD in Update 1 once it is out.

Thanks for your reply and it is good to hear of the new functionality that is just a few weeks away.

I obviously accept that this is the case, but it seems a shame that you can't offer any flexibility on this especially when you can't yet offer the full functionality on the new version. We are new to 3CX and we really need to re-create this functionality ASAP and me having to trail CFD in the live system when I have to keep bouncing the queue service to apply the code is painful as we run a 24x7 Service Desk.

You say trial keys can now only be activated on 16, but if I purchased a second commercial PRO license for testing, would I still be able to activate that on 15.5?

Hi EDGE - an alpha with the CFD available will be available soon which you can use for testing. So just wait a week or so and you can get it free.... It would be better to do your testing with the new CFD anyway so maybe take the opportunity to take a few days off now :) :)

We are running 15.5 with the Standard 16SC 1year free trial, which is up in September.

Whats the best way to upgrade to 16 and get the new Free 8SC license?
