3 digit service phone numbers

Hi..

I tried to configure 3 digit phone numbers for outgoing calls, but I get error on the phone "Temporarily Unavailable".

3CX activity log shows the following error:
"Call or Registration to 0311@(Ln.10000@RingOffice) has failed. XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX replied: 484 Address Incomplete; from IP:XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX:5060 "
IP has been hidden with XXX .

This is what I did for Outbound rule configuration.

You have strip digits set to 1, which should remove the leading zero but the activity log apperas to be showing 0311 being sent. Do other outbound callls work correctly? Could the calls be using another outbound rule that also allows 0311? Perhaps try placing the 0311 rule above any others. Rules are read top to bottom with the first match followed.

Here is the new activity log... (I think my copy/paste may have added the 0 by mistake.)

Then if you are only sending 311, and the IP that is responding is that of your provider, then they appear to not like (support) that number. You might want to check with them. Some short numbers, are for connecting with local or regional services, and because you could be located "anywhere" in a country, those numbers may not be supported.

Thanks for your input @leejor ... I've created a ticket with the trunk provider.

SIP provider confirmed that they do not support 3-digit dialling. That's why the call was failing.
Is there a website that lists all the 3-digit service numbers, along with its full e-164 numbers for Alberta, Canada?
Common ones are 311, 411, 811.

I don't recall seeing a definitive site with such listings, but there may be one. I believe that 311 is reserved for local (city) services. Others, obviously have "fixed" functions nationwide, such as 411, 611, 711, 911.

811 seems to be related to health services.. 211 seems to be social services in some areas.

You would have to contact the agencies to see if there is a 10 digit number that corresponds to the short code. 3CX outbound rules could then be set-up to send out the desired number when the short code is dialled, like speed dialling .
