Just wondering what the code 3 does? Also, if I put 3 into that box, will blind transfers to busy or DnD agents bounce back to the transfer origin agent?

HI,
perhaps it's easy enough to set, test it, and have answer directly

Hello,

Yes correct. The code simply activates the service (it is needed internally by the system).

Once you set it it works automatically to enable the feature for you (ie. you don't need to actually dial that code). Please note that it also depends on the destination's forwarding rules, so if they wish to send calls to voicemail when they are busy, then the call will not transfer back obviously because it was answered by voicemail

You have to ask...how many extensions don't have voicemail, or a forward off to another number?

Well, I only have alive deployment to work with and dialing *3* on the phone results in an 'no action performed'. Also no where could I find *3* documented.

So just put *3* into that box? I read that in 15.5 it was just a simple tick box?

Also, extension must be set to busy: "End Call"?

@wsd-tim yes, add the code, then set your extension to "End call when busy" and then make your line busy by calling another extension or by calling your voicemail.

Call your extension from another extension to see that you will get the "busy" reply

Then when someone tries to transfer a call to you, it should transfer back as expected.
