Solved 3cx 15.5, Fanvil 4xg Second line.

I have a client that needs to be able to put people on hold, and dial an internal ext to ask someone a question. I cant seem to figure out how to do this with the Fanvil. Is it possible to place someone on hold on the fanvil and dial another extention to ask a question, then hangup and go back to the first call?

So I was able to do it by using the conference button, and then using the line key to switch between lines. I'm guessing this is the only way?

Set the first BLF as a line key, it makes it easy to get another dial tone when your on a call. If fact if you press the line key it automatically puts the first caller on hold.

I did that but all the line key does is put the call on hold. Can't dial any numbers, and don't hear a dial tone.

Try pressing it twice. With the X6 the first press puts the call on hold and the second press gets the second line, the X4 may be the same.

just tired, it just picks the line back up again. I'm going to factory reset and try again.

Factory reset did it for whatever reason. Good to go now.
