Hi there,

we´re using 3CX v15.5.1694.0 on a Windows Server 2012R2.
Also there is a Beronet Gateway with a PMX connection and
we´ve about 40 extensions configured in 3CX.

At the moment we´re switch from Snom 320/360 phones to
the 3CX Softphone and we´re using Jabra Evolve 40 cable
headsets. So far the quality of voice is good. But sometimes
there are problems.

Which are the recommended audio codecs for such a configuration?
A) Jabra Headsets with 3CX Softphone AND Snom 320/360 phones.
B) Only Jabra Headsets with 3CX Softphone (planned for near future).

Does it make sense to enable "PBX Delivers Audio"?

Any other hints about this scenario?

Thank you so much.

Markus

Use PCM-A / PCM-U (G.711a / G.711u) codec in your local area network and for Beronet gateway. It provides the necessary quality for your communications in your LAN. Enabling PBX delivers audio for phones in the local-area network makes no difference. If you are still experiencing problems you should investigate your network for issues.

Generally, only as a last resort, as this will put an increased load on the server.
