Hi,
I'm running 3CX Pro 18 Update 4 on Azure. I have the 3CX Android app 18.1.2.60 installed on a OnePlus Nord phone running Android 12. All 3CX Notifications are allowed on both the Lock screen and Banner.
When I call my number, the 3CX mobile app does start ringing on about the 3rd ring. However if I send the number an SMS, there is no Android notification, although I can find the SMS in the 3CX app if I know to look for it. (The SMS is received almost immediately by the 3CX Phone App on Windows--I hear the tone when it comes in.)
Following the push troubleshooting guide, today I tried:
- Set battery to "Allow background activity." No change other than warnings from Android that 3CX is draining the battery.
- Set Privacy Permissions to "Allow auto launch." Not mentioned but seemed like a good idea.
- Set 3CX to Always Active. Still no SMS notifications. Later turned this off.
- Per the linked article on Firebase, added a firewall rule to Azure allowing ports 5228-5230 from all IPs. (443 was already allowed for the 3CX management console.) No change.
Is anyone else seeing issues with SMS notifications only? It seems like this phone has had a couple of OS updates in the last several weeks. Maybe there's an issue with the latest Android?
Thanks,
