Hi Team,

I’m new to 3CX and currently exploring the system to learn and understand its features. I’m a little bit confused about the following question and would appreciate your clarification:

SIP Trunks
The name given to a DID will show on the user's Apps when they make an outgoing call to external numbers?

Could you please explain whether this statement is correct or incorrect, and why?

Hi, that question is related to the Display Name, during a call you may get the caller id but also you can get a caller name / display name, for example you may include also the names of the queues, ivr, DIDs. Lets say you have an IVR with three options, A its a queue for Sales, B a support queue and C a billing queue. So if a user is part of those three queues, he may receive as display name the name of the queue to know if it related to sales, billing or support.







Now, you have to test and check if the DID friendly name applies for just for outbound calls, incoming calls or both.
