Hi,
I want to test 3CX so I created a 3CX Basic Hosted instance.

When trying to add a SIP trunk under "Add SIP Trunk/VoIP Provider", the offered providers seem very limited. I want to add a Telekom SIP Trunk which is not in the list, so I wanted to add it as a "Generic" type, but a "Generic" item is not available in the country list either:
https://www.3cx.com/community/threa...der-or-generic-sip-trunk-on-version-16.65225/

Am I doing something wrong or do I first need to upgrade to a paid version? I cannot find information about this anywhere.

Thank you for your help!

Best regards,
Marco

For hosted by 3CX they only allow supported registration based trunks. Limitations listed here: https://www.3cx.com/blog/releases/pbx-hosting/

If you want to use a generic template you will have to host on premise or a different platform like AWS or Azure.

Hi Marco,

Even if it is just for testing i would recommend using a supported provider to have the best possible experience and be sure that your trunk works with the Hosted by 3CX instances.

I have 10 instances on version 16 hosted by #CX that are using generic SIP providers. I wonder what will happen if it upgrades to version 18?

if the providers are working in V16 they will continue working on V18.
