3CX Billing

We have been asked to provide a cloud hosted PBX system for a customer and they require billing information for not only external calls but also internal calls. Can 3CX provide this level of information?

what do you mean by a bill for internal calls, PBX cost is 0 for internally calls so what kind of bill do you want to produce?

If sip trunk is set on PBX then for external calls bill is sent by provider

You could capture & process the CDR's that can be generated by 3CX. There's more than enough information for most billing purposes (including internal calls if you need).

Probably should have started with that. Would have made more sense. And no, 3CX is just a PBX, not a full platform like ASTPP. @Cjay has a nice tool that might be able to help if you shed some more light on what you are looking to accomplish.

We have a telco customer that wants to build a cloudPBX system they can sell to their customers, one of the things they have requested is inter extension billing.

It also needs to exchange information with their NGBSS system

Well I don't really see how 3CX is going to work for that, but from the CDR/billing side of things you'd be looking at a home grown solution using CDR export/socket.

Yes I'm leaning towards ASTPP, FusionPBX, Kamailio/OpenSIPs front end combo with Homer just for fun.

Yeah I didn't want to throw any names out here but I definitely think something along those lines is going to be a better fit.
