3cx chat log - "Auto Clean" question

I've always had 3CX Chat log enabled, without any auto purge.

How does the auto clean work on existing and ongoing chat conversations.

For instance, we have a team chat that has been ongoing for a long time, year+ ... if I set the auto clean to 3 months, will it delete the entire chat conversation as it's older than 3 months, or just messages within that chat conversation that are older than 3 months?

• Regularly purge Chat Logs - From the Maintenance menu you can purge based on time

• Auto - Close - Enabling this option adds a daily schedule task to close and archive active queue and ring group chats that exceed the specified period.
• Auto - Clean - Enabling this option adds a weekly scheduled task for Sunday 2AM to purge chats older than the specified period. If there are active calls at that time, the clean-up task is postponed for a week.

My question specifically centers around the mechanism of the Auto Clean.

Does the auto clean remove an entire chat conversation that is older than specified months, or just the messages(content within a conversation flow) that is older than the specified time.
For instance, if I set the auto purge to 3 months.
I have an existing chat conversation that has been ongoing for 6 months, and has daily activity. Will this entire chat conversation be purged as it's older than 3 months, or just content within this chat conversation that is older than 3 months.

Hello,

Only Messages older than the date chosen are deleted, the conversation start date is not a factor. A conversation with messages before and after the purge cutoff will still be there with only the newer messages in place.
