Good morning everyone,

is there any setting to prevent the 3CX client from going into sleep on mobile devices?
It seems like after about 1 day of "idle" the client seems to go to sleep and does not register
any incoming calls before I manually open up the app to - sort of - "wake it up".

Is this somehow related to push?

Thanks,
Bastian

Hi Bastian,

Push lasts for 7 days before it expires so 1 day is too short to be related to push I would think.

It most probably your phone's power saving features shutting down the app because it hasn't been used for a while, so when the push message to ring it arrives, the app is no longer listening.

This article can give you an idea why this happens https://www.3cx.com/blog/docs/android-push-issues/

Hey there!

thanks for the swift reply. I've seen quite a few settings on Android devices (and it seems to work on those). I forgot to mention that most of the issues seem to occur on iOS devices. The only setting I can see related to this is the built-in battery-saving mode (which is turned off on my test device).

Are there any best practices for iOS devices, too?

Cheers,
Bastian

Just a couple of general pointers:

On iOS you have the Background App Refresh for helping to better manage battery life. Ensure the the slider is set to ON for the 3CX app

You also have the "Low Power Mode" under the Battery menu that may also restrict some types of activity. Make sure the slider is set to OFF for that one.
