3cx Config file

In the latest update, the 3cx config attachment has been removed from the extension welcome email, I know this was planned with the latest security recommendation, however as we have a large number of users who only use tablets this is causing issues with the onboarding process (as Scanning a QR Code from Email on a device there is not an option as these tablets are locked down)

Is there a way to add the 3cx config attachment back to the extension welcome either from the link to the option in 3cx

No, but since you can have access to the Web client, in the Apps setting (on the left side panel)



select, Android, iOS, or Windows App and you will be able to download the config file :

Why was the config file removed? This makes the administration and preparation of new clients more complex. Instead of just clicking on the file and the Windows app is setup, now i have to log in the webapp (which nobody here uses) and have to download the file.
Please make this optional for the welcome mails.

because unencrypted credentials in an email are unsecure. Downloading it from the web client is the correct way here.

Agreed. Just make it optional. The mails our 3CX sends to our users are purely internal. They don't leave our network, And if an user forwards the mail to an external address, that's a violation of our security policy. But that's our job to deal with.

I can agree with making it an optional variable in the welcome email template. Something not enabled by default, but user accepts risk type thing.

I also agree to make this an option for sending a config file. You could even offer it per User - in case of external emails on select Users.
