Successfully integrated Hubspot with 3CX and call logging works just fine.
Contact Creation, however, visibly only saves the contact name.
I would expect the "Phone Number" field to be saved when saving the contact from 3CX but it doesn't and agent have to do it again manually.
Is there something I'm missing or could do to resolve this?

Use the "Mobile" field in the popup to create the contact.

Maybe you're using custom fields in your HubSpot account? Please note that 3CX will only populate standard fields. If this is your case, you would need to adjust the template to instruct the POST request to use your custom fields.

I'm not though, unless the default is somehow custom.

No, default fields are not custom, and those are the ones used by 3CX. Do you see the phone numbers retrieved when you do a contact lookup? That would indicate that you're using standard fields.

The custom fields in the CRM can cause this issue.
You will be able to identify this by also checking the default template values and compare in the CRM fields.
Does the CRM test also pass?

On 3cx, yes, it shows. Hubspot retrieves the associated contact alright but the phone number field isn't filled.

yes, it does
where can i check for template values?

You should enable verbose logs in 3CX, then make a test call, and check the 3cxSystemService.log file, so you can see the JSON response coming from the CRM when 3CX triggers a contact lookup. This way you will be able to see if the phone number is in a custom field or not.

I'm really grateful for the assistance, but this is bit advanced for me, if you don't mind dumbing it down.

At this point, maybe you should hire someone to investigate this for you.....

In case someone else needs this,
Admin > Advanced > Parameters
Search for "MYPHONECLIENTLOGGINGLEVEL" and set value to 3

Dial a number that triggers a CRM lookup

On Dashboard, scroll down to "Troubleshooting" to find and click on Activity Logs to find a response that looks something like this
C:258.2 Attached data:
====
ID = '1366'
dnid = '35'
callid = '258'
legid = '5'
refby = '0' ...

Find what field the saved number is mapped to
In my case it was "PhoneMobile" so I went back to the Contacts Page in Hubspot to add the Mobile Phone Number column and sure enough, the numbers were saved there.

I wonder if it's possible to change what field phone numbers are mapped to in Hubspot.
Thanks for the pointer @edossantos_sipcaller and @TheodorosG_3CX

You would need to edit the XML template for that.
