Solved 3CX Debian: Error 404 while fetching "description.xml"

Hello,

We have a 3CX instance running Debian GNU/Linux, and we are seeing a permanent error every two hours in the log file /var/lib/3cxpbx/Instance1/Data/Logs/3cxManagementConsole.log

The error is as follow:

|Err|Remote server returned 'NotFound' when 'https://downloads-eu.3cx.com/downloads/v160/templates/debian9upgrade/description.xml' was requested
|Inf|[System.Net.Http.HttpClient.Default.LogicalHandler] End processing HTTP request after 313.2734ms - NotFound
|Err|[ProductUpdater.Services.DefaultUpdateDefinitionProvider] Request to https://downloads-eu.3cx.com/downloads/v160/templates/debian9upgrade/description.xml has failed with message $Server returned 'NotFound' when 'https://downloads-eu.3cx.com/downloads/v160/templates/debian9upgrade/description.xml' was requested

Our 3CX version is v16.0.1078, powered by Debian GNU/Linux 9.13 (stretch).

We wonder if this could be a problem in the future.

The error you are seeing is nothing to worry about. Nevertheless, we have made some changes and you should stop seeing this error shortly.
