I have decided to put up a small system (around 30 users) and i need some guidance. Please move the thread if this is not properly open. I had a look over the forums but i don't find a proper hardware area for support.
The quest is simple: i am to install the 3CX Debian ISO (downloaded from 3CX website) on a Z210 Workstation (i7/4GBRAM/RAID1 SSD). The workstation uses the default BIOS raid controller (i know, it's not a real RAID controller). It should be more than fine for what i need to do.
I have created the RAID1 volume and i start the 3CX installer. At the point where i need to create partitions, i cannot select the RAID volume. It does not exist.
If i break the raid, i can see both SSD at partition manager.
I know i can use Linux SW RAID but my intention is to use the one provided by BIOS. I find it more simple and easier to manage. Am I doing something wrong at this point?
The other way that i think of is to use only one SSD and sync the 2nd SSD on-the-fly with tools like rsync. About rsync, i only read some information and i have not worked with it.
What would be the best approach to get redundant SSDs ?
PS: I tried to install clean debian 9 (from debian website) and it does the same when RAID1 is enables from BIOS.
Any advices?
