3CX Debian OS Update Failed v16 to v18 on a self-hosted ESXi 6.7 instance.

I've rebooted thev16/deb9 VM and reinitialized the update, but it results in the same error.

The log file has been attached.

Seems this may be the issue:
https://apt.syncthing.net/dists/syncthing/stable/binary-amd64/Packages server certificate verification failed. CAfile: /etc/ssl/certs/ca-certificates.crt CRLfile: none

If anybody has insight into this, lmk. Thanks.

Hi,

Please remove any third party sources/repositories you have (such as the one you mentioned which caused the upgrade to fail) and try again.

Before doing so make sure you take a full backup of 3CX and store it outside of the machine.

In case the upgrade fails again, then you should better spin up a new instance using the 3CX V18 ISO and restore from backup. (before restoring make sure the old V16 instance is powered off)

P.S: I have removed your log for security purposes.

I have run 'sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge syncthing' to remove anything related to syncthing and then rebooted the VM via CLI.

It has resulted in the same error? I ran the removal again and syncthing is not installed, so not removed.

If possible, i'd like to upgrade this instance.. if not, I can migrate to v18 via rebuild/restore.

Attached is the current log file. Please remove it after you've seen it.

You removed the package but not its repos.

Make sure that file /etc/apt/sources.list contains only the standard debian repos
And that the directory /etc/sources.list.d/ only contains the 3cxpbx.list and 3cxpbx-testing.list files.

Seems the problem in question was an errant syncthing.list file in the sources.list.d.

The update has completed successfully. Thank you for your help.
