3cx Desktop App in Citrix - no microphone

We try to get 3cx Desktop App working in our Citrix environment, unfortunately it can't access the Microphone.

LTSR 1912 CU1
Citrix Receiver 1912 CU1
Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops 7 1912 LTSR CU1


It works if the webclient is opened in the Citrix environment:



Does anyone know what needs to be done on the 3CX DesktopApp so this works?
We already tried the BETA version 18.5.25, but it has the same issue

Generally we don't recommend using any softclient in SIP Client mode in a RDS/Terminal Service (or similar) environment.
The reason for this is because we have observed that due to how this works, there is quite often voice latency and bad/choppy quality which is not due to our software.

We only recommend using softclients in these environments in CTI/CSTA mode (to remote control IP Phones).

Due to the above, we don't test this scenario, so I couldn't tell you exactly, but the new Desktop App is an Electron App, I don't know if this piece of information may help you.

We will install it outside of Citrix.
For some users that work only in Citrix with full screen, we will have issues.
Maybe the new desktop app with shortcuts will help - is there a planned relase date for final?

Or can we use the BETA version of the MSI without upgrading the 3cx server?

You can you the Beta MSI of the Desktop app, yes, it should work just fine even if your 3CX server is not on the Beta.

Hello,
after excessive testing my colleague @voip-uwe found out that
Audio Sandboxing is the problem

Using parameter "-disable-features=AudioServiceSandbox" and it works - also in Citrix

this is a electron/chrome parameter, but also works with 3CX Desktop APP

If anyone else has this issue, that is a possible solution.
