Solved 3CX doesn't forward from a ring group to an external number

Hey guys,

right now I have a big problem that I need to solve urgently.

I have an extension switched to status "away". But there is NO telephone registered. In the profil is defined "Forward to Mobile".

If I call the extension from extern the 3CX forwards the call to the mobile. Perfect.

If I call an IVR where the extension should be called when I press 5 the 3CX forwards the call to the mobile when I press 5. Also perfect.

!!!! but !!!!

If I call a ring group where the extension is a member the 3CX ends the call.

There is the option "Accept calls from Ring Groups" selected at the "away" tab.

If the extension is registered and the status is "away" the 3CX forwards the call to the mobile.

To register the extension is no option.

Is there something I did wrong?

is there never a phone registred to that extension ?
if so, even if extension is set as member of a group, then the GRP call should follow directly to DNA of that GRP.
When extension is member of a group this is no more extension settings that are followed but those from the group it belongs to.

That extension without phone , what is the use exactly? a fake extension just to route calls elsewhere?

if you want extension to be seen as registred even there's no phone, you need to enable"ring my mobile simultaneously" but in that case mobile will ring all the time

Ring group calls don't follow the forwarding rules for a member extension. Otherwise, one member could have their extension forwarded to a destination, that answered immediately, preventing any other member from ever getting a call.

As mentioned, If you want to receive Ring Group calls, on a mobile, use the Ring my mobile at the same time option on the extension.
