v18.0 U3 - W2019 - OnPrem

We have a branch office we purchased a while back. They had their own 3cx cert on their PBX which is expiring in a few weeks. We want to swap that cert over to one of our certs.

I see other posts saying to backup the install without cert info, then install using the new cert domain, which is pretty clear. However, there is no option on the backup specifying cert info.

Selectable checkbox options for backup are:

-License Key
-Custom Templates
-Voicemails
-Recordings

I believe to do this, I select everything except License key. Then follow the wizard as a new install and when done, restore the backup. Is this correct?

Make sure to logon to your 3cx customer portal and drop the current fqdn before restoring or the restore process will bring back the old one.

But ideally go with a 3CX FQDN and be rid of having to manage your own certificate.

You can use the backup that does not contain the License Key information during the install process to restore. Before you proceed with re-installing though do remember to release the current FQDN from the License Key as mentioned by @CentrexJ.
