3CX Extension's Status (Presence) based on the user's teams status not working

Hi All,

I have already setup the M365 integration with teams along with teams direct routing.
Everything is working fine except the user's extension status based on Microsoft teams status.
This will cause issue especially when the user is a part of the ring group and out of office or already in a call.
Any comments or suggestions are welcome.

Hi!

In the current implementation the Teams Status is not synced with the 3CX Extension Status, so this is expected.
This though is one of the things we are considering as a future improvement, if of course it is technically feasible, currently though we don't have an ETA for this.

This is possible now. Microsoft changed the teams graph api to now send status changes to a web uri. So the developers should be able to write this in easily using the current Microsoft connection that syncs users and their info. Here’s a blog about how teams status now works.

reading your previous comments I understood that I need to use Microsoft Graph API in order to retrieve the status of Teams users.
Supposing I got Teams users status, what to do next? what is the procedure to update the status on 3CX ?

Currently there is way to sync Teams status across to 3cx, this is something that us in the pipeline for a future release, although there is no ETA to offer at this time.

For now though you can check guide below which outlines the processes required to configure M365 integration with 3CX in order to sync outlook calendar statuses with 3cx extension statuses.
