Hello,

We have setup a failover server and now my FQDN is pointing to my passive server.

How can I change the 3cx FQDN to point to my active server again?

Thank You,
Christopher Oliveira

What is your license?

Licensing

An Enterprise (ENT) or Professional (PRO) license key is required in order to enable the failover functionality. With an ENT license key, the DNS TTL resolution for a 3CX provided FQDN is set to 5 minutes, whereas a Pro license key uses a 6 hour TTL causing a much longer reconnect time for IP phones, 3CX Apps, 3CX SBCs or the 3CX Web Client.

if it is Pro and you've been testing, you'll need to wait for TTL.

Hello,

I have a Pro License.

I had to restart my Active server and now the FQDN is back to normal....

Weird

It is recommended to use an Enterprise license for failover to avoid having to wait for the DNS to update and having to manually restart. Also depending on your DNS the propagation may take a while.
Glad to see the issue is sorted.
