3CX for visitor/lobby

Has anyone invented a way to use a tablet for a visitor to tie into 3CX for announcing visitors?

We use Envoy - which can send an SMS or alert to users if I recall -
I do not think this necessarily needs to tie into 3cx. Just need something that can do Multicast Paging with an iPad front end...

Barix almost has it - you can use an App to page instead of a phone... but 3cx softphone can do that too - dial into a paging intercom group/multicast paging group.

So really - you need an app - that can call a 3cx Paging Extension and playback a WAV file.... seems easy enough

Sort of... So basically just put a ipad in a locking stand and run the 3CX client on it and visitors can just click/call whoever they are trying to meet/greet?

Thats quite possible by using the webclient and putting the browser in kiosk mode and locking down the extension to not allow external calls ext and keep open the people screen to make calls.
