Solved 3cx hosted and firmware upgrades

Hello have recently moved to a 3cx hosted pabx and for some reason we can't seem to upgrade the firmware of our T-46S (they are all stuck at 66.83.0.55).

I understand that the phone needs to by able to "talk" with the PABX on port 5001

alex@ubuntu:~$ telnet mypabx.3cx.ch 5001 Trying *.*.*.*... Trying *:*:*:*... telnet: Unable to connect to remote host: Network is unreachable

We are not filtering outbound port 5001... so not sure what is going on here

@A.Takacs are you sure that port is 5001 and not 443 ?
Also how is the phone provisioned ?

You will have to upgrade manually since it's a much older version. Please visit this link https://www.3cx.com/sip-phones/yealink-t4-series/, download the Firmware of the device and upgrade it manually. You can see here https://www.3cx.com/sip-phones/firmware-update-yealink/ how to manually upgrade the Firmware. After that, log in again to your management console and check if you get the newer version.

Well might 443 on hosted. Provisioned via SBC as it is the only way I'm aware of for 3cx hosted ?

Applied manual upgrades from 66.83.0.55 to 66.84.0.35 - seems ok,

• will it be auto upgrading form here ?
• is there such a massive gap between those two versions ?

Yes, now it should start upgrading automatically.
If the version in the phone is too old it will not let you install the latest one directly.
