Firmware Upgrade of Yealink IP phones

Supported Models: Yealink T1, T2, T3, T4, T5, VP and CP series

The following document will outline how to upgrade the firmware of a Yealink IP phone using the device’s own web interface. This step is required prior to the provisioning of the phone to ensure that the bare minimum requirements and features are implemented into the device's firmware. The minimum required firmware is specified in the main provisioning guides for Yealink T1, T2, T3, T4, T5, CP and VP series.

In order to check the firmware version of your Yealink IP phone:

  1. Point your web browser  to your phone’s IP address.
  2. Login to your account (default user/password: admin/admin).
  3. Navigate to Status >> Status >> Firmware Version. This number is your device’s running firmware

Upgrade Firmware

In order to manually upgrade your Yealink’s firmware:

  1. Find the latest supported firmware version from 3CX Phone Firmware website.
  2. Select your model, and download the latest Firmware image .rom file and save it in your drive.
  3. Point your web browser to your phone’s IP address.
  4. Navigate to Settings >> Upgrade >> Select and Upgrade Firmware.”
  5. Click “Choose File” choose the firmware image file saved previously, and press “Upgrade.”
