Hi, Just a quick question. Back in Sep last year we received information that all Hosted by 3CX instances were migrating to Digital Ocean. Information on this move and why was not really forthcoming. Does anyone know if the move has taken place now for all hosted instances in Australia? I have a very secure medical centre that I would have expected to go down by now as they have been slow in implementing the changes needed to allow devices to connect to the hosted server.

Hi Craig,

If you haven't manually triggered the migration, then your instances are still hosted in Vultr.

We haven't proceeded with the automatic migration yet.

There currently isn't a target date for it but it should be soon.

You can always add your instances to the migration queue manually via the customer portal.

Thanks for your reply Agathocles. I'm confused because none of my customers in the portal now have the migrate option. They just appear as running. In November I did trigger the migration for some smaller customers manually and they worked fine. Its just a little strange I now don't have any to manually migrate even though I haven't triggered them.

I believe all hosted keys under your account are currently deployed in D.O so you're good. Meaning, it is expected for the migration button not to show. (a number of them was already in D.O as they were deployed recently)

Hi Agathocles, Is there any way to confirm if we are on digital ocean. The 3cx server has the same IP address as the Vultr address so I'm really suspicious about us being moved over. When I do a DNS look up on the 3cx server IP address is just comes up as cloudflare.

Hi Craig,

You are probably looking at the nameservers (cloudflare) and not the actual DNS records (A/AAAA). I’ll contact you privately to tell me the instance in question to check.

As per my PM, the instance is already hosted in DigitalOcean. (which explains why the migration button is not showing)

will being hosted on vultr be a cause of a failed v20 upgrade? Our instance is vultr still and the v20 upgrade fails even though emails indicated that hosted pbx instances would be force upgraded at the end of last month, this has not happened and we're still on v18.

@gregh-l Yes, the reason is that the machine specs in Vultr do not meet the requirement for V20.
You need to migrate the DO and then proceed with upgrade to V20. Please access your portal and select the option to migrate to DO. Once this is completed you will be able to proceed to V20.
