Hi All,

I'm currently evaluating 3cx Pro - 3cx hosted. Currently it's 20.0 Build 0. Is there not a Beta option for 3cx hosted sites?
And... Is there any sense in shopping around for a provider for hosting + License, or does everyone charge the same?

Thanks :)

3CX version 20 is currently in Release Candidate (beta). Shopping for hosting providers is a very important process. Pricing is all over the place, with varying levels of support and experience. For example, we provide live 24/7/365 support with real-time monitoring and certified engineers with over 15+ years supporting 3CX as well as custom development in over 100 countries. So... not all providers are equal.

I do not disagree with @SnakeRiverWebDev, but I cannot help but wonder how relevant proximity is today. The vast majority of phone systems are now hosted in the cloud, and with router phones and web clients, provisioning of phones has become very simple even for the most technically challenged.

But there is no denying the benefits of being local to the customer. A site survey has long been a required step in the requirements process. A survey helps the 3CX partner identify physical issues that the customer may forget to mention. Further, things like overhead paging systems do not install themselves. Being able to see the network infrastructure (firewalls, switches, cabling, etc.) can also head off some unpleasant surprises.

In the end, the old adage "it depends" comes to mind. For example, if you are moving from one VoIP system to 3CX perhaps the important infrastructure issues have already been addressed? We install phone systems all around the world and I can tell you I do not fly to every customer's location.

I'm not seeing many sites showing pricing. But I'm more looking for cost savings than 1000% uptime, etc. The phone system is for me in my house and my neighbors remote office (2 DID's). So nothing fancy is really needed, and honestly, even 3cx is probably overkill for our needs, but much user friendlier than say FreePBX.

I'm in Northern California - Fremont, and it looks like the Fremont dealer is no longer in business.

If you want I can help, I have clients in Central CA, Just give me a call.
