Hello, 3CX Community.

My name is Alex and I develop dealapp.io, a SaaS service for agents' quality management called dealapp.io (you can read details about our service in this article https://startupjedi.vc/content/how-...fect-sales-department?auto_change_language=en - other materials are only in Russian language).

We have client who is interested in integration of our service with 3CX and currently it is not clear how to do it using API.

Our Service expects external services to provide information about phone calls through HTTP requests via callbacks mechanism (there is also an option when we fetch data periodically through external API). We expect to get following information from 3CX system:
- phone call record url: we use this url to place to our media player (to allow supervisors to listen it), we do not fetch the record to our service (our client uses box version and it's enough if the url will be accessible in their local network)
- phone call direction
- phone call duration
- external phone number
- an agent id: something we can map with users inside of our system (email, internal numbers and etc.)

Integration with Asterisks in most cases looks in the following way: a cron job makes a request to database every half of an hour and performs HTTP requests to our system with information about calls.

Could you please suggest what should we do for this case:

- Should we use Call Control API or Templates mechanism?
- What is the best way to test this integration during development? Is there any dev environment in cloud version?
- Are there any examples or samples in access?
- Do you know anyone who can perform such integration as a contractor?

Thank you very much for the help,
Alex L.

Hello Alex,

If you don't need real time information, I think it should be better to read the information from the CDRs generated by 3CX. There you will find all the information you need, except by the recordings path. For the recordings, you will need to do something like what's explained here, because the link only available in 3CX reports.

In order to test, you can install your own 3CX server, in the cloud or on-premise. In order to have access to CDRs and recordings you will need to use a self-hosting approach if you want it in the cloud. In the hosted by 3CX version you don't have access to the operating system.

Kind regards.
