Easy hosting of multiple companies on one 3CX instance.

Following the pre-announcement earlier this year, today marks the official launch of 3CX Multi-Tenant giving partners who are managing smaller customers the opportunity to move away from dedicated customer infrastructure. Multi-tenant - or multi-company capability - allows...

Great news! We are looking forward to start migrating some of our small clients with dedicated instances to the multi-tenant. The only doubt we been having is regarding video conference, the 150 seats can be distributed through departments or every department will share the same 150 seats?

Is it possible to allocate license channels among the tenants? Ex. 8SC for Tenant A and balance 8SC for Tenant B?

Thanks for the heads up!

> You dont need a separate license for each tenant. Its one license for all tenants. So yes you can balance the single license across tenants

>The included seats - Enterprise 250 for example - are spread out over the licenses yes. Its a concurrent limit by the way.

@pmterp

1) Is there/will there be separate system requirements for multi-tenant vs standalone instances or should we continue to follow what is laid out here: https://www.3cx.com/docs/recommended-hardware-specifications-for-3cx/

> The same, although a multi tenant system is likely to be busier but doesn't really effect hardware requirements so you go on sim calls.

2) Is there a plan to allow the same extension number to be used by separate tenants?

> No, a unique extension number is core to 3CX. You can define extension length though based on how many tenants you will have on the system. So you can use 3 or 4 digit no problem.

Will it allow the department admin to add the SIP trunk and manage the outbound rule by himself in the MCM mode? Currently, it still needs the system admin to add the SIP trunk and outbound route and assign them to the department.

@58voip - Yes if you want you can allow this. I am not sure it will be in this initial launch version but in update 5 this feature is being added to allow departments to create trunks if they want.

We're still waiting for the Phonebook by department/Tenant. Then we can really get started.

is there any change to setting up SBC's or SBCPhone's for each client in the tenancy ?

No, each SBC can be assigned to a "department" which will be used for the tenant.

Is this real multi-tenant, i.e we have customers with 365 integration (for authentication and address book), will that work with each tenant in the multi-tenant system?

There are no Adressebook at the moment. Only personal addressbook.

HI Team

With SMB Multi-Tenant, we can add Welcome & After-Hours music separately for all Dep/Companies however, how about separate ON Hold Music? Is it possible?

With shared Parking in NFR only SP 0 - SP10 is available, with SMB Multi can we add more than 10 Shared Parking?

SIP Trunk : Do you mean I can have lets says one SIP Details with 5 SC Calls with SIP provider with 100 DIDs and can assign those DIDs separately ?

Thanks
Mayur

Hi Mayur

No on hold music is system wide and can not be changed per tenant. However on hold per queue can be changed.

You can configure shared parking as you like. Keep in mind your dial plan has to allow for system extensions so this will force you to make a longer extension number. On 3 digits for example it will be a maximum of 20 tenants probably.

Yes you can scale the SIP trunk across all the tenants no problem and assign DID seperately.

Department Address Book is in the pipeline. Office 365 integration will require a dedicated installation

How many addressbook entries per department?

Thanks, Nick and team. It took a bit of time to wrap our head around it all, but we are loving Multi company mode. Thanks for listening to the people and allowing 16SC as it's good for a start to get into this market.

As we were allowed to use our NFR as a trial. When do we need to switch this to a paid version?

Is there any information on how the 3cx support will work with multi company mode? Same as normal licence?
