Solved 3CX Multi Tenant v20 Multiple Fax to Email Users

Can someone please describe how to set up fax-to-email successfully in version 20? I have tried to do this via the fax server to no avail, and I’m also not sure I fully understand what fax extensions or fax forwarding are for. The extension doesn’t seem to have any way to assign it to anything but a specific DID, but where do I specify the email it goes to? Additionally, fax forwarding simply doesn’t work, nor does the fax server when I set it up.

Ideally, I’m attempting to set this up for multiple departments with multiple fax numbers. However, I only see the option to set it up as a single fax number for a single server and a single email. This configuration is a multi-tenant 3CX v20 deployment.

seemed to have answered my own question. Add fax number to sip trunk for the department. Go to advanced, fax, fax server and enable g 7.11 to t.38 fallback. (not sure if a default email address has to be in there, I don't think so). Go back to fax and add fax forward. Give it a name, assign the did from the sip that was the fax number and assign it a user with an email address for faxes to be forwarded to.
