Hi,
We are getting ready to migrate our PBX to a new datacenter and will need to modify our public facing IP address.
Currently its set for static IP and even at the new location it would have a static IP address.
All the forum answers on this topic talk about setting the IP to dynamic and then reverting to static for the change to be detected and xxx.3cx.us dns registration to be updated.

We do not have a way to get dynamic IP at the new location. Can I just manually change the IP and reboot 3cx pbx for the changes to be registered and subsequent DNS record updated ?

The reason to change it to dynamic is to force 3CX to check the public IP address and then update the 3CX fqdn.

So change it to dymanic, when the fqdn has been updated change it back to static.

if its a VM, just backup the system, and build a new fresh VM setup on the new IP and restore, during the restore the IP will update on 3CXs side. We use this method to migrate on-prem installs to our cloud... Its works well.
