Hi,

We have a 3cx PBX which is connected to cbeyond. How can we configurate 3cx correctly so that it can pass the outbound caller id to cbeyond? I have googled several solutions online and tried them. But none of them worked.

Thanks in advance.

Have you confirmed, with them, that they allow you to change your outgoing caller ID?

Yes, I already called cbeyond, they said " Per our Tier 2 group we should accept caller ID from a 3cx system." If I set up the 3cx pbx correctly, it should be able to pass the outbound caller id.

Thank you for your response!

Did you read this 3CX article?

I changed “Remote Party ID – Calling Party : User Part" to “CallerName”, the system said "called number does not exsits"
When I changed it to "Outbound caller ID", I could make calls, but the caller ID didn't show up.

For now the outbound caller ID is always the first number of the DID group.

Thanks for your help.

I am looking forward to anyone's answer.

I am using polycom 331 IP phone.

anybody, any suggestion? thanks

Are you using CeBeyonds SIP trunks or are you using POTS lins, PRI etc...

I have a Fonality PBXtra with cBeyond as our provider. I'm having the same issue. cBeyond Tier 2 support told me I need to Create a Diversion Header. Reason being is, cBeyond does not accept phone numbers that are not associated with your account. So if you account has the phone number 888-756-5555, and your trying to change the caller ID to 714-562-9171, cBeyond will reject the call. The Diversion Header solves this issue. I just received this information yesterday, and have not had a chance to implement it.

Hope this helps
