Hello Everybody,

I made a contact list on 3cx PBX. Is there any possibility that if somebody who calls us and exists in Contact list too, call may transfered to some Extension let say 88.

As i have already done the same thing by using Call flow designer, by using a Select with mySQL database, it works fine but it takes almost over 8 sec per call to run only the select statement which makes the Caller to wait.

many thanks

Best regards

Hi
do you want to do this with a lot of numbers or just few?
incoming calls with already known numbers need always to be forwarded to same 88 extension ?

Hello,
Yes i want to do this with lot of number, there must be almost 800 numbers.

And Yes if the number already exists in Phone Book then it should be forwarded to same extension 88 otherwise 77.

Thanks for your reply

I think you have already done what you want with CFD, is there a way your pbx can be short on hardware ressources to increase speed forwarding ?

Is there any possibility to do the same thing using PBX which means if PBX recieve the calls then it forward it to some Extension according to the condition if the phone exist, this might be faster.

If you have few numbers to check you could try with CID inbound rule, but in your case it's not usable.

Sorry, :( for so many numbers I don't see what else can be done, perhaps someone else will have another idea

What do you think about "Read/Write to File". I can export the contacts in CSV/TXT file and then can read the contacts. Will it be Faster?
I also have no idea how to use this module?

You might be able to use the Inbound rules by adding CID rules. You can import them to create them quickly. The more you have the longer it will take for the match to occur. But 800 entries should still be faster than what you are experience today

Can you share me some link from where i can generate a CID rules, because i didn't understand how to generate it.

Go into your PBX and navigate to the Inbound rule section. Create a CID rule manually and then export it. That will give you the structure of the csv file. You can use that and excel to create all your rules and import them back into the pbx

"You can use that and excel to create all your rules and import them back into the pbx "

This sentence mean i can import back in the same CID rule which i made?

No, after you create the template i would recommend deleting the entry from the management console so you can import it back using the csv file.

I was thinking my idea too empiric to be usable for so many numbers but if Yiannish_3cx ask you to test this , finally it's perhaps a real solution :)
