3CX phone for Windonws V14

Hi All,

I've been having problems getting the 3CX phone client for windows to register with my PBX

The PC are running Windows 7 and I'm able to ping and telnet to the server.

The Server in running Windows 7 with Abyss web Server. Everything else functions fine.

This is the log from the PC concerned maybe someone can shed some light on this:

Hi,


from the attached logs it seems that the port is missing on the url.
Since you are using Abyss then after your ip address, port should have been specified.
For example :
https://test.contoso.com:5001/myphone/MPWebService.asmx


Please send the welcome email and try to connect again.

I have done that but no joy. It tries to connect on HTTP and when that fails it tries HTTPS

It seems there is no service listening on those ports. How can I check if Abyss is listening on these ports?

I have noticed that when I use the Provisioning file that comes in the welcome email it populates the "In Office" field with an IP address that is not on the local subnet.

Where is the provisioning file pulling this IP address from?

Anyone know can I edit this from within the 3CX managment console.

I too am having this problem but only when 3CXPhone is set to re-provision. When using the file in the Welcome email it works fine because it is using the URL.

Where can this be changed for re-provisioning in 3CXPhone please?

The Local IP that is populated in the Provisioning Files which in turn is then inserted into the "In Office" field is the IP you chose during the setup of 3CX Phone System when you chose the Network Interface.

The proper way is to re-install the system and choose the correct Network Interface.

Alternatively, although I don't know if it will cause anything else to misbehave is to go to the Troubleshooting -> Parameters, look for the DEFAULTLOCALIP parameter and change this value to the correct Local IP. Then you will just have to make a slight change to the extensions so that the Provisioning Files are recreated.
Again, I think it will change the IP in the Prov files but I don't know if it will break anything else....

Exactly the same problem on mine Windows 10.

Registration status, call history, Voicemanil, chat, webmeetingand swithboard are not working.
Some icons are disabled ( chat, webmeeting).

However i am able to receive and dial calls.

The provisioning file was successfully used on other windows10 machines.

Just on mine windows 10 host is not working. I have already deleted all 3cx regedit records, app data , etc...

I did thank you.
Unfortunately the provisioning file works on fresh machines. On Internal or external network.
It doesn't work on mine host machine. After provisioning, the client does not update. from 15.0.56772.0 to 15.0.57336.0
Dial in/out works.

I cant change status, presence information, chat, web meeting, switchboard is disabled.

Is there certificate issue ?

I doubt it, but if it works on other machines then odds are it is something with the specific machine... AV software sometimes causes thee kind of issues though.

I believe there is something wrong with certificates. Let's encript certificate was already on the server before the installation of 3cx server.

Also i have the following error while accessing <MyPhoneServerLocalSSLAddr>

Certificate Error
There are issues with the site's certificate chain (net::ERR_CERT_COMMON_NAME_INVALID).

I would also check in the Windows hosts file and see if there are any other entries in there that may be messing things up.

Important!
In the hosts file 3CX adds an entry for the FQDN and pointing to 127.0.0.1. Leave this in place! Remove all others.
