Is it possible to add an additional phonebook that can show up on the phone that is separate from the 3CX Phonebook?

That would probably be a function of the set itself.

as above, you will have to look at the phone gui and see if you can add another address book.

This can be done but not via 3CX. Phones support different types of phone books and you will have to research your specific model to see what it can do.

You will also have to find a way to provision that secondary phonebook to the devices.
