Hello,
I went through the guide. I have configured my Plivio SIP trunk on 3cx and I can call and receive calls. However, I still can't make my number appear on the recipient's phone. All the phones I tried to all my caller Id appears as "Unknown". I have tried everything I could in my SIP trunk > Outbound parameters and outbound rules. Still no luck.
Anyone who has done the same setup in the past?
Thank you in advance for your time.

Hello @a.tzounis

Just tried with our test trunks and I can see my number on the called side. What comes up as unknown in my callers name but I suspect that is because we are not in any CNAM lists.
Are you trying to send a number that does not belong to your trunk?

Hi Yannis,
As far as I can understand, the number I am trying to make appear is set up in my trunk. If it wasn't how would I be able to call and receive calls?

Some providers allow you to present any number you like when making outbound calls. Plivo is not one of them.

I am not using any (or a random) number. So to understand, are you guessing that the misconfiguration is rather on Plivo side or on 3cx?

Make sure that you are using the 3CX default template for Plivo so we know what your settings are. Then try making a call to your mobile device. Do you see both the callers name and callers number as unknown?

Hello,
I erased my template and created it from scratch. Still, when I call my mobile phone (Greek number) through my PC (3cx web interface), I see the incoming call as "Private Number". When I call my 3cx US phone from my mobile, I see my mobile number as +13069XXXXXXXX. Normally, I should see +3069.... not +13069... I don't know if this helps.

I think you should contact Plivo regarding this once you verify that the PBX is sending the correct caller ID to Plivo. You can use the Activity log for that to confirm what the PBX is sending.

That could be a weird reformatting Plivo is doing to normalize the numbers to E164. Perhaps they are not handling international numbers very well. Call your US number from another US number to see if that is handled correctly.

Ok, I have opened a ticket on Plivo. Let's see what they have to say.
Thanks for the help so far.
